High Blood Pressure - The Persistent Facts

We all know that at times suffers from any high blood pressure (also known as hypertension), particularly from the stress of modern life, but it is persistent and ongoing high blood pressure, that the needs of the practice - fast!

known as the "silent killer", you can suffer without the slightest idea that you do this, and it should be seen as a serious disease, although it probably does not affect your lifestyle to day.

This is the cause of several life threatening diseases like stroke, heart attack, kidney disease and diabetes, to name a few.

with any of the following (possibly more than one!)

1. About 55 years old

2. Members of your family already suffering from hypertension.

3. You are over-weight or obese

4. You are a smoker

5. They drink more alcohol than you should.

6. You do not have a healthy diet

7. It is not the exercise or insufficient exercise

8. You can suffer with anxiety problems - not surprising in the current economic climate!

But do not despair! positive action.

1. First and foremost - Get your blood pressure checked by your doctor will give you the numbers and tell you what your blood pressure readout means. Make sure that the numbers and what they represent.

2. If you have high blood pressure your doctor to advise how to reduce them - and follow her. If you're lucky, a normal display for your age when you must back and let it be re-examined.

3. Take medication regularly.

You need to provide a realistic plan for changing your life style implemented over a period of time (the faster the better!), And if you think you need to plan with your doctor before they do!

2.Exercise regularly - walking is a good way to start and is great exercise. Start small and build up to longer distances. Maybe start swimming or a gym membership.

3.Try and healthy eating - not easy, I know! - But also very useful. Here are a few ideas-

- reduce the intake of salt

- eat oily fish

- Snack on nuts (almonds and walnuts well)

- eat fat burning foods (oats, apples, grapefruits and potatoes (not french fries !) are just a few)

- Eating an egg a day

- drink no more than a small glass of red wine per day

To summarize, you need the will and the efforts to implement a lifestyle change. You need help from your family and friends. There is a lot of help is available - use it! You will notice that it is worth your plan in place to ensure the possibility of silent killer another victim to be found!
